About
The long way back.
I'm James. I spent seven years in front of a camera in seven countries, lost my health doing it, and spent the thirteen since on an off-grid homestead in Costa Rica learning how a life is actually held up.
Twenty years of practice sit behind everything on this site. None of it came from a course. It came from having to rebuild, slowly, with what was in front of me — and then doing the same work alongside a few hundred other people.

Professional practice across health, fitness and holistic lifestyle coaching.
Living it daily on an off-grid jungle homestead in Costa Rica.
A former life as an international model — and the health crisis that ended it.
I walk the walk. Everything I teach, I live daily.
The story, in four parts
The life that looked right
I worked as a model across seven countries. From the outside it was the version of health people photograph: lean, early, disciplined, always moving. I did what I was told worked, and I did it harder than most.
Underneath it I was running on nothing — hotel rooms, short nights, food as a number, and no season, no rhythm, no ground. It held for years, which is the part that fools you.
Then it stopped
A health crisis ended that career. I won't go further into it here — it is mine, and naming it tends to become the story. What matters is what it left me with: a body that would no longer tolerate the way I was living, and no plan that fitted an ordinary Tuesday.
I read everything. I tried the protocols and the programmes. Information was never the missing piece. What I couldn't find was a way to live any of it inside a real week.
Thirteen years off-grid
I moved to a homestead in the Costa Rican jungle. No supermarket, no switch on the wall, water that arrives because you maintained the line. A place like that doesn't let you cheat, and it doesn't let you rush.
Living by light and season rather than by schedule, I got my health back — slowly, unevenly, and for good. The six foundations came out of those years: not theory, but the things that turned out to hold everything else up, and the smallest honest version of each one on a bad day.
The work now
For most of twenty years I taught this one person at a time. That works, and it doesn't reach far. So I built the app — a year of the same work, rebuilt around your week as it actually goes — and kept coaching a small number of people directly alongside it.
I am not trying to give you a better plan. I am trying to give you a way of living that survives a real week, in the life you already have.

How I work
Principles rather than perfection. One change at a time, sized to the season you're in.
Plain language. If I can't explain why something matters in a sentence, it doesn't belong in your week.
Room to begin again without guilt. Missing a week is part of it, not the end of it.
I'm a coach and practitioner, not a doctor. I don't diagnose, treat or prescribe, and I'll say so plainly whenever a question belongs with yours.
I don't sell transformation on a deadline. The work moves at the pace of a year because that is the pace it holds at.
I take a small number of people directly. When there's no room, I'll tell you rather than fit you in badly.
Start where you are.
Two minutes will tell you which kind of depletion is yours and the one foundation worth starting with. Nothing else is needed first.
